Casualty Home of Related Driver
From Wiki
Casualty Home of Related Driver is a dimension containing the Driver Home for the driver who was in control of the particular vehicle which accounted for the involvement of a specific casualty in a crash.
In the case of casualty records which refer to drivers, the value in this dimension is the same as the Casualty Home dimension. however, in the case of passenger and pedestrian records, it will differ:
- For passenger casualties, this dimension contains the home of the driver who was in control of the vehicle the passenger was in
- For pedestrian casualties, this dimension contains the home of the driver in control of the vehicle by which that pedestrian was first struck
The location is based on driver postcode data included in the vehicle records for each crash in STATS19 returns. MAST assumes that the driver resides in the local authority area which contains the postcode centre point. In cases where a full valid postcode has not been included in a STATS19 return, the place of residence will be listed as unknown.
