Casualty is Working in Cway is a MAST dimension which represent a STATS19 field called Pedestrian injured in the course of 'on the road' work. This records the reason whether or not each casualty was engaged in carrying out work on the public road at the time when the crash occurred.
This information is often not known, so care should be taken when using this information to consider whether the results can be considered robust.
In STATS19
This field only records pedestrian casualties engaged in carrying out work activity on the public highway in a manner which is readily identifiable to the reporting police officer, such as road maintenance, inspection or traffic control. It does not include vehicle occupants or trips made between different work locations.
