Crash Officer Attended

The Crash Officer Attended dimension Is a simple conversion of STATS19 information recorded with each crash. It is a boolean value which reflects whether or not a police officer attended the crash scene and obtained the details from which the STATS19 record was derived.
It is often considered that many details of crash recording are more likely to be accurate and consistent when the information was recorded by a police officer in attendance. Reports which do derive from other sources, most commonly a member of the public making a report 'over the desk' at a police station, are considered more likely to contain inaccurate, inconsistent or missing data.
