The Crash Date Dimension is a MAST dimension which defines a convenient approach to summarising data by chronology. It is based on the date when each crash occurred according to STATS19 returns.

Crash Date is arranged into three levels, representing the year, the quarter and the calendar month when a crash occurred.

Crash Date does not represent precise days of each month, nor the days of the week. However, the Day of Week dimension provides an alternative approach to analysing data chronologically.

The Hour of Day dimension is provided for analysing crashes by the time of day at which they occurred.
