Time of Day is a MAST [[dimension]] which defines an approach to summarising data by chronology.  It is based on the time of day when each [[crash]] occurred according to [[STATS19]] returns.

The Time of Day [[hierarchy]] is arranged into three levels, as follows:
* Six hour bands (for example, crashes occuring between 12 Midnight and 5:59 AM inclusive)
** Three hour bands (for example, crashes occuring between 12 Midnight and 2:59 AM inclusive)
*** One hour bands (for example, crashes occuring between 12 Midnight and 0:59 AM inclusive)

Time of Day does not represent calendar years or months, but these can readily be included in any analysis by using the [[Crash Date Dimension]].
