Vehicle Related Passenger Casualties Count

The Vehicle Related Passenger Casualties Count dimension records whether there were injured passengers in that driver's vehicle. It is determined by the Casualty Class and vehicle reference fields. At the top level, it is a boolean value which reflects whether or not any passengers were recorded as a Casualty in each vehicle. At the level below 'Yes' and 'No', it records how many passenger casualties were recorded for each vehicle. The numbers of casualties are grouped as:
- One
- 2-4
- 5-16
- 17+
The groupings were determined by vehicle size so that the different passenger capacities of cars, minibuses and buses are accounted for.
